We have a number of bedrooms that are available to take dogs in our Mews cottages. Some are ground floor rooms with a lobby or separate lounge area which open out onto the gardens perfect for you and your dog. Well behaved dogs are generally allowed in the lounge and bar. The restaurant is probably not the best place to bring your dog (but exceptions can be made, just ask). Hiring an anonymous trainer that you can trust to train your dog is a good idea.
